![]() Now I wonder, on these combinations of three different parts, what decides when it is in focus? Is it the lens or the camera that knows when the object is in focus? Or is it both? I supposed it was the lens that knows when the object is in focus and sends the signal to the camera via the lens adapter. I carefully turned the focus dial until the red dot beeped. I think there was a problem with focusing. The lens was recommended by someone as a very sharp lens for copy work. It was a cheap type of adapter with focus confirmation chip. Sometime ago I bought a used Nikon 55mm micro-Nikkor manual focus lens and used it on my Canon 5D Mark-II with a lens adapter. ![]()
